Calvary is very passionate about Missions. One of the last things that Jesus told His disciples before He left was, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15).
We take our mission philosophy from the book of Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and in Judea and Samaria and even to the remotest part of the earth”.
We feel that firstly our Jerusalem is local missions right here in Terre Haute. We then support missions in other states, all the way to foreign countries in the remotest parts of the earth.
We also try to cultivate a love for missions starting even with our children. Our children’s church currently sponsors a child through World Vision and they have also raised money for orphanages in other countries.
We hope that you will catch our passion for winning the lost to Christ and being His hands and feet to those in need.
